Here we go on another trip... yes I've worked all year and have saved all my vacation time to take it all at once :)
Time for a road trip! Yes, I know the other one was a road trip as well... though this one is of the two wheeled variety. Sigh, I can almost here my scooter purring now. Although- this time tomorrow I'll be sporting earplugs, to ward off wind fatigue. And I'm currently having issues - trying to decide whether to wear my glow-in-the-dark fluorescent lime green shirt, or my brite-white long sleeve. These decisions somehow seem important and are taking entirely to much energy. However, my sweetie has reminded me that visibility shouldn't be a problem as there will be bunches of bikes in our convoy. Yet I still struggle...
Our destination will be the beautiful North Ga mountains, Helen GA, where they are hosting this years HOG State Rally. Cool. My fav part about these rallies is the bike games. And every year Sweetie does very well in the Slow Ride - which is exactly what it sounds like- who can ride the slowest, stay in their lane and not stall out their bike, nor put a foot down. Every year Sweetie makes it to the final round. And gets beat out by the same dude. Every year. So we had a practice last week at our local HOG chapter, and Sweets and some combination of passenger won all of the bike games. I was the proud winner of the "Bite the Weenie" game.
Um- that would be a hotdog weenie thank you very much.
And yes, you can imagine the fun people have with what you actually do with it once you have bitten said weenie. Wormy won the "Grab the Balls" game, where he had to pick up tennis balls off of cones on the first pass and put them back on the cones on the second pass, and he won the clothes pin game too...
And as I prepare for this trip I can't help but notice that the forecast calls for rain. But I could have told you it was going to rain with out the meteorologist. Yes, I could have told you months ago that it would rain on this particular Thursday and Sunday for sure. Without Dagbar Midwhatshername telling us (although we have to watch her religiously, because Sweetie thinks she rocks) Why did I know that it would rain? that answer is simple. Because I will be on my motorcycle. Notice that it has been clear here in the Peach state all week. and guess what. It's 'sposed to move out Monday. Sigh. oh well. I remain the poster child for Harley rain gear. So technically it wont matter what shirt I wear at all ...
But anyways. I'm rambling here when I need to be getting focused on the Endless-To-Do-List. Off to polish the chrome!
Keepin it shiny side up...we'll report back with news from the saddle in a few days...
